How do I create an additional FTP account?

1. Log in to cPanel
2. Locate and click on the “FTP Accounts” icon under the “Files” section.
2. At the top of the next page you will be asked the username, password, directory (if you want to restrict their access to a specific directory) and quota.
3. Enter the required information:

  • Login – The user for the new FTP account.
  • Password – The password for the new FTP account.
  • Password (Again) – Confirm the password.
  • Directory – /home/account/folder, where folder is the folder/directory you would like to limit the user’s access to. Note: Leave this blank if you would like to grant full access.
  • Quota – Enter the required quota or set to ‘Unlimited’.

4. Click the “Create FTP Account” button.
